New members of the Council of Presidential Advisers (CPA) were sworn in yesterday. Mrs Mildred Tan, former managing director at Ernst and Young Advisory and an ex-NMP, became a full member. Dr Sudha Nair, executive director at domestic abuse treatment centre PAVE, joined as an alternate member.
Mildred and Sudha will bring new perspectives and a diversity of views and backgrounds to the CPA. Happy to welcome them both to the team!
The CPA had a busy time last year, deliberating the multiple support measures to aid those affected by COVID-19. I am hoping this year will be less busy for them, but I’m confident they are as ready as ever. I thanked them for their collective wisdom and hard work advising President Halimah Yacob as we continue to fight this pandemic, and look after Singaporeans.
